About Me
Is #video something I should consider for my #wedding
Aug 20th
Weddings are about moments! Photography can capture a split second of that great cake cutting or the father/daughter dance, so I am a firm believer in booking a photographer that will make that memory last a lifetime! Most brides are short sighted about their weddings and only think about getting the picture of how they looked on their wedding day! I want the best (and you should!), but I personally don’t think that photography captures it all (and I speak from experience 19 years later!)
Let me tell you my story and maybe shed some insight:
I was married in 1991 and was blessed to have family come from all over, just to celebrate with me (one cousin took a train from the middle of Pennsylvania to Orlando. Now that is a big deal). It was a festive family gathering that I honestly dont remember much about first hand (my Mother in Law invited WAY too many people that I didnt know and I spent too much time playing hostess…….. we will save that for another blog, lol)
Now flash forward to today…….. I have a nice album that I think I show once a year (if that) because most of my friends have seen it. BUT, i can tell you what really means the most to me every September 28th……….. Our champagne glasses come out of the box, the bubbly flows and we watch our wedding (because I was smart enough to hire a videographer!!! Let me walk you through some of the highlights
)
I actually had food at my wedding!?!?! I know what I promised to do “till death do us part”. I realize that someone should have cut me off before I gave my thank you speech, lol……. BUT you know the most valuable part of the wedding that I have forever is the full memory of those family members who are no longer with us. To watch my Grandfather dancing, smiling and even sending us wishes for a wonderful life, could not be captured without the video.
So i will encourage every bride to think about the future………. When 40 years have passed and the kids are home for the holidays, imagine them sharing your memories. Video (in addition to photos) create a long lasting legacy that will last for generations. Do your grandkids a favor (yes, for this it isnt too early to be thinking about the future!) and GET A VIDEO!

Mondays are the perfect time to say THANK YOU to some special people!
I connect with so many people online and I am really honored when they take the time to communicate and share information with me (which I then get to share with you!!!) In the last few weeks, I have been so honored that my friends take the time to talk about ME
So let me give them a shout out and say Thank you for being such a great friend and your support is appreciated! Now what have they been saying???? Give a quick visit and check these great people out!
So I met Kalysa through mutual friends. One of the things that people mentioned was the talented work and how nice she was. So when Ashira Photography contacted me, I was really flattered that they wanted to feature me on their blog. Check out the blog here! Her work is amazing and she is one heck of a great person (and REALLY fun when you get to know her!)

Now I must say that one of my favorite and loyal tweeters and facebook friends is Dorinda! This is the lady to know if you are looking for some amazing favors/gifts, a contact person or whenever you need a smile. I am just so blessed to wake up and see her smiles all over the web! This was just the “funnest” interview and I love when people just let me be me
Check it out.

Photoshoots are FUN well when the original plan comes together, lol! But I must say, the winning team can make miracles happen in the most unlikely place. The above image is an example of how amazing photos rise from ashes! Thanks to Kristen Weaver for the chance to “chase the beach dream again” (although we still havent had the cooperation from Mother Nature!)
Check out Kristen’s amazing blog for details Thanks to , Heather Schnell (makeup), Nicole Beth Miller (hair), Tyler Hill (model), Heather Blackwell (assistant), Lee Forest (floral), Bethany Lorelle (custom hair pieces) and Amanda from Something Blue Bridal Salon for the amazing gowns! This teaser is Tyler in a stunning Lazaro gown!

Now to my favorite guys at Snapknot. This website has been a great source of information for me and my brides. I think I promote SnapKnot as much as I promote The D-Tales. Well, when Reid said they wanted to feature me, I felt obligated to return the love! Check out the blog! I cant say enough about these folks.
